I hear you, if you're trying to use it for serious climbing and you're a larger person a bigger frame makes sense, I'm 6 ft 3 though, and on the downhill it feels fine. It's all preference though.

Bummer dude, I work at a "specialized retailer" and please trust me, I work with a bunch of dumb shits. Whoever told you it was a 2010 was either one of these dumb shits or screwing with you to get his lousy commission. It's an 08, we had a demo and retail model of this exact bike at my shop. Anyways this should explain all your color combos and "the golden link"

08 pitch comp in brown

fault line, you probably have seen what nwd+red one looks like, they shot with one in nwd9 for the dirt halfpipe segment

Sorry but I don't see ANY resemblance. These stems are not tightened on the steerer the common "pinch" style that the macneil and nearly every other stem on the market is. These have a loose part (wedge) that is removable and when tightened holds to the steerer tube. I'm guessing you mean the vine logos on the twenty6 vs the macneil print. I just don't see how this could be a "total knockoff" in any way. BTW I own two of these stems and they look and most importantly perform as expected from twenty6... flawlessly.

She's still burly, don't worry, nah the best part is, the landing is so perfectly steep you could do it on a hardtail, so my sxt doesn't worry me on this too much

the other one was uploaded by the photographer, I'm not sure how he edited it, but I would love to get a higher quality pic up. this photo is unaltered with regards to brightness/contrast and all that stuff, and it looks great unaltered before uploading on pinkbike, but as soon as you do, it gets compressed down so small that it looks much darker and kind of bland compared to the original.

norco, as i said, i am sorry, i'm not normally like this, it's just really hard to hold myself back after finally getting off work and reading all of these comments. i've looked forward to getting a pod for way too long and i'm not exactly fond of people who haven't seen this in person telling me what i should or shouldn't have done, or that i didn't even make it into the ballpark, etc. etc. etc... I agree with you, i should have walked away, but i did my absolute best at that time, and i made the inrun a hundred times better than it was when i got there, it just wasn't enough. With another year's riding experience, if I had to do it again, i would do things differently, I would FIND a way to go faster, a more nimble bike would be one of them, along with hundreds of yards of plywood for the inrun. So once again, sorry, and to ridetrails, sorry but no, i've decided i enjoy feeling my feet enough not to try this again Wink

HEY NORCO, before you go running your mouth off about $*&^ you don't know, please, take a second to think. i tried. which is a lot better than you can say, and by the look of your pictures, ever. i spent the entire day on the run-in, which was a loose as hell gravel hill to an extended section of flatness. i pedaled my ass off towards that thing, obviously the second i took off i knew i was boned. just because your possible pod of your "crouched-to-look-fast rock garden" wasn't pod, doesn't mean you know the story behind why i 'didn't even make it in the right ball park.' i don't have the time to respond to every jackass who tells me to kill myself and not the bike, which is why i'm so pissed right now-i'm taking it all out on you because you are known all over pinkbike for talking smack. but for the love of god, if you're going to, either have some decent pics in your profile, or come up to whitefish and send the gap yourself. i can't believe the number of people like you on pinkbike who think they know so much... you only see a tiny portion of the story here, and hopefully one day, you will understand that. i've tried to forget i was ever dumb enough to go for that gap, and unfortunately, pod does not help. people like you, only make things a hell of a lot worse, so i'm sorry. i'm sorry i've been such a dick to you above, and i'm sorry for your viewing pleasure, i sucked so bad i didn't even make it in the right ballpark.

dhbiker, the guy that did this before me ditched his bike and broke both ankles and heels because of it, I wouldn't wish the same fate upon you, and I had that on my mind all day. I knew I had to go as fast as possible to make it. None of you people know a thing about this hit, but continue to talk $%^&, so be my guest, come on over to Whitefish and give me a call, I will gladly lead you to this gap, and hopefully, when you short it, you'll be as lucky as I was. I knew I was shorting it before I even left the takeoff (so I popped it as hard as I could, which is why I endoed so early). And for all the people saying I needed to go faster, duh, but lets see you pedal any faster on flat ground, sinking in around 3 inches of loose gravel with 8 inches of suspension. I will never go near this again, I was very stupid to try it, but we all think we're great after our first trip to whistler. I'm amazed this picture has been in my profile for over a year, and yet it takes pod for you people to talk smack. To be honest, I feel sorry for everyone who's ever had pod before. So to iride89 up top, the day I see someone overshoot this, I will gladly give away my entire year's wages to their loved ones, because it will never happen.

thanks, your no footers are looking rad, and props on the stepup, i've never even hit it. unfortunately no for the photoshop question, i threw these together on a friends computer. i'm still going paycheck to paycheck after the whistler deal, while trying to pick up proforms for ski stuff... (ordered my hellbents so that broke me again). really sorry too, i keep forgetting to check on deity stuff, i'll try to remember tomorrow.

Thanks, designed it in illustrator, then had it printed to scale and pressed onto the foam-core poster board thing. Then spent the next few days after school and work cutting it out with an exacto pen.

I believe that was Vanderham, and Amen to that... on a side note szczeki kicks ass, anyone who disagrees is living in their ignorant little dj world, caring more about color coordination and their emo pants.

And what the **** makes you the judge of that? Look at your own album... some spectacular dj's there Wink I would love to see you hit a gap like this with style. I'm sorry to be such a jerk to you but some people enjoy seeing great photos of 'MOUNTAIN' biking. Obviously there are thousands of people like you who enjoy the same old pod every day... some guy tricking a dj, or a dude all decked out in moto gear 'pinning' a berm. Know that there are still a few of us who log on to pinkbike every day, hoping to find a pod that inspires us, this just happens to be my day. There are many different aspects of our sport, so share the ride. Just because 99% of pods fit into the dj/dh berm block, doesn't mean that final 1% has to as well. Once again, I'm sorry to have been such a prick, rarely do I even bother to comment on this bs but I feel the need to stand up for a great rider and photographer in this case. If you want to bring back the 'hucking requires no skill, just balls argument,' it's your loss, as it's so obviously pathetic.

No it's the whole bike, the 08 demo 8 I retailed for $4200 and this is $300 less. Maybe you're thinking of the 08 demo 8 II at $6300?

would you be so kind as to tell me what saddle that is? nice sxt by the way. I'm building mine up to be an insanely light but hopefully still burly build and that seat reminds me a lot of the 05 saddle from the demo that I love so much but can't replace. Thanks for the help...
